Is this guy one of the most underated MC/Beatmakers or what? His last two albums
were better than almost anything that came out during the same time.
I remember trading cd’s with a kid in college, first he took my Masta Ace
“Disposable Arts” then he refused to give me a tape in return because he said
it would be dissapointing.
Out of all the MC/Producer combos he’s got to be top 3.
Yeah Ace’s catalog is just ridiculous. No matter the era, he was always ahead of the curve.
Another thing about him is that he can appeal to any demographic, a recipe that Ghostface kinda adopted and expanded, but he’s thug enough, intelligent enough, witty enough, avant garde enough, old school enough, humble enough, and his flow is musical and sufficiently crispy. He can do anything well.
